Pirates' 10-game winning streak ends. The Pirates had a 10-game winning streak? (Yahoo!)

White Sox, Garcia agree to $27 million, three-year extension. (Yahoo!)

Money and Motivation. "[M]aybe Kenny Williams' biggest blunder isn't committing $27 million dollars to Garcia. Maybe it isn't giving up two quality youngsters to rent Garcia for three months. Maybe the big blunder is handing a contract to Garcia that removes all motivation Garcia might have to actually perform for those three months." (Twins Geek)
